Founder Arsal Shami says Adopt2Educate is a scalable and transparent digital system connecting donors directly with students to see and check their performance
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Oct 16th, 2025) Adopt2Educate Founder Arsal Shami has urged the donors to come forward and support the education of at least 10 underprivileged children each, emphasizing that small contributions can collectively bring about a significant social change.
“I appeal to all donors to help at least 10 students for their education and better future,” said Arsal Shami while addressing donors and school management during launching ceremony of Adopt2Educate initiative at Al-Kitab School of Technology near Rana Town, Shahdara.
“Supporting one student costs just Rs9,000 — this is not a big demand. The help of one child is the help of an entire family. Help 10 children, and you are uplifting 100 people.”
For the past eight to nine years, Arsal Shami has been actively engaged in community service. He has also been associated with the Al-Kitab School System for the last two to three years, where he has played a key role in fundraising and securing sponsorships for deserving students.
Veteran journalist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, who graced the ceremony, lauded Arsal Shami’s vision and dedication to promote education through technology.
Chughtai Lab CEO Umar Chughtai, Suki Kinari Hydropower Project CEO Danish Khan, Momentum Media CEO Salman Danish, General retired Amir Riaz, businessmen Imtiaz Ahmed Cheema, Irfan Khan, Usman Rasool and others also visited the school.
Arsal, who also served as an ambassador for Al-Kitab School of Technology, said that working closely with students from humble backgrounds inspired him to launch Adopt2Educate.
“Adopt2Educate is a scalable and transparent digital system connecting donors directly with students,” he explained. “Through this platform, donors can easily access students’ profiles, academic records, and progress updates online — replacing outdated methods like pamphlets. The idea is to ensure that donors know exactly where their contributions go.”
He stressed that the platform was built to ensure transparency and continuity, saying, “I made a promise to myself that Adopt2Educate must be a sustainable initiative — it should continue whether I remain part of it or not.”
Arsal added that the initiative was not just about individual students but about strengthening the entire community and, ultimately, the country. “This is not only an investment in one child’s future but in the future of our society,” he remarked.
A banner was also displayed on the stage read, “Adopt Today and Transform Tomorrow.”
The guests also toured various sections of the school and interacted with students.
Earlier, students delivered speeches on different topics, showcasing their confidence and knowledge gained through the school’s programs. Teachers briefed the visitors about the learning environment and facilities available, pointing out that students from both privileged and underprivileged backgrounds study together at Al-Kitab School of Technology.
The donors expressed satisfaction over the school’s performance and the quality of education being imparted. A large number of teachers, donors, and students attended the event.
Later, Adopt2Educate Founder Arsal Shami and other participating donors had lunch with the students.
