Mike Hesson takes to X to share his advice for national cricket team to get ready for upcoming clashes like Asia Cup, World Cup
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 25th, 2025) Pakistan cricket team head coach Mike Hesson on Friday advised the team to adopt a consistent playing style for the Asia Cup and World Cup.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, the head coach said, “Pakistan is currently ranked 8th in the world. We need to adopt a style of cricket for the Asia Cup and World Cup that brings us consistency.”
Mike Hesson further said that the first six matches were played on two different types of pitches, where young batters managed to score over 200 runs.
He noted that Mirpur is a low-scoring venue in T20 cricket. Despite the challenges there, the team showed the ability to bounce back and learn from experience. New players stepped up during the matches and performed well.
The head coach added that specialist coaches played a vital role in the development of bowlers during the Bangladesh series and training at the National Cricket academy (NCA). He also praised the team for significant improvement in fielding during the last two matches.
