WAM reports such reports are baseless and misleading while Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) also issue a statement labeling these claims as false and illegal
ABU DHABI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 9th, 2025) The United Arab Emirates has officially denied recent reports claiming that citizens of certain nationalities can obtain a lifetime Golden visa by paying a fee of AED 100,000.
According to the official news agency WAM, such reports are baseless and misleading. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) also issued a statement labeling these claims as false and illegal.
Indian media outlets including Press Trust of India, The Hindu and Times of India recently reported that the citizens of India and Bangladesh could obtain lifetime Golden Visas under a new scheme.
However, the UAE authorities clarified that the Golden Visa programme is limited to specific categories such as investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and humanitarian workers. The applications can only be submitted through official government channels.
The ICP has warned against dealing with unauthorized consultancy offices or websites making false promises and attempting to deceive the public. Legal action will be taken against individuals or entities involved in such fraudulent practices.
The applicants are strongly advised not to share personal information or pay fees to unverified entities and to rely solely on official UAE government sources for visa-related services.
