JUI-F assures PTI it will not support no-confidence move against KP govt

A personal message from JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was delivered to PTI Founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail by his sisters during a recent meeting

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 2nd, 2025) Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Wednesday assured Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that it would not become part of any no-confidence motion aimed at toppling the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to sources, a personal message from JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was delivered to PTI Founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail by his sisters during a recent meeting. The message conveyed that while Maulana Fazlur Rehman was approached to support an in-house change in the KP assembly, he categorically refused to be involved.

The sources confirmed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman gave a clear assurance that his party, JUI-F, would not participate in any efforts to dislodge the KP government through a no-confidence vote.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur issued a strong response during a press conference earlier in the day.

He openly challenged the state and its institutions, saying, “If you can topple my government through constitutional means, then go ahead—if you succeed, I will leave politics.”

Gandapur further added that the PTI government in KP could not be brought down through external pressure or unconstitutional measures. He reiterated that the party stands firmly united behind Imran Khan and warned that any attempt to undermine their mandate would be strongly resisted.
