Steve Witkoff emphasizes Trump’s commitment to expanding Abraham Accords
WASHINGTON: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 26th, 2025) Steve Witkoff, middle East advisor to US President Donald Trump, on Thursday said that several new countries—previously unimaginable—may soon recognize Israel.
In a recent statement, Witkoff emphasized Trump’s commitment to expanding the Abraham Accords.
Under those accords, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan formally recognized Israel, a significant shift in Middle East diplomacy.
“Donald Trump is focused on increasing the number of nations recognizing Israel,” Witkoff said, adding that they are hopeful that very soon; the countries no one ever imagined would join this effort.
“This will contribute to greater stability and balance in the Middle East,” he added.
It may be mentioned here that Israel is continuously committing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and killing innocent citizens including women and children. Israel which started barbarism in Gaza in pretext of Oct 7, 2023 Hamas attack did not spare even the women and children who had nothing to do with the attack, and damaged the whole Gaza. Almost all hospitals have been razed to the ground.
The international news agencies reported that the residents of Gaza have been suffering from famine as they do not have food to eat and feed their children.
