Foreign Office spokesperson says PM Shehbaz is expected to hold an important meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 5th, 2025) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will depart today for a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, accompanied by a high-level delegation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the Prime Minister is expected to hold an important meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit.
The discussions between the two leaders will focus on enhancing bilateral trade, boosting investment opportunities, and advancing the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, the spokesperson added. The visit aims to strengthen economic and strategic ties between the two brotherly nations.
PM Shehbaz would also express appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s efforts in helping to ease tensions between Pakistan and India, acknowledging the Kingdom's constructive diplomatic role in the region.
The visit is seen as an important step toward expanding cooperation under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the Kingdom’s economy and build stronger international partnerships.
