MUKALLA, (Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jun, 2025) The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has signed an agreement with a leading commercial company in Al Mukalla for the provision of sacrificial meat, as part of its Eid al-Adha initiative to support underprivileged families in Hadhramaut Governorate.
The initiative aims to ease financial burdens and bring joy to families during the religious holiday, reflecting the ERC’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
During the signing ceremony, Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, Advisor for Development and International Cooperation and ERC Representative in Hadramaut Governorate, reitterating the authority’s commitment to ensuring the success of the project.
He explained that the initiative mirrors the ERC’s core values and aims to strengthen the bonds of social solidarity. He stressed that it will bring relief and happiness to hundreds of families, embodying the UAE’s long-standing tradition of compassion and giving, particularly during Eid al-Adha.
ERC teams will distribute the sacrificial meat across Hadhramaut’s districts, giving priority to families facing hardship, including orphans, those with limited income, and people of determination.
The initiative forms part of the ERC’s ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts in the governorate, aimed at improving living conditions and reinforcing the values of giving and solidarity within the community.
