Bushra Bibi, the wife of the PTI chairman, appeared before the court to seek protective bail in the said case.
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-May 15th, 2023) The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday allowed protective bail to Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, in Al-Qadir Trust case.
The court granted her bail till May 23 in the said case.
Bushra Bibi appeared before the Lahore High Court along with her husband Imran Khan. The PTI workers and leaders were also present there.
The court has expressed its discontent over the absence of Bushra Bibi.
The reason cited by her lawyer for not appearing in the High Court was due to security concerns and he requested for more time.
The court allowed her to appear until 2:16 PM, and Justice Shahbaz Rizvi warned that he would reject the bail application if she didn't show up on time. Bushra Bibi appeared 10 minutes late in the court with Imran Khan, surrounded by a cordon of white cloth.
Justice Shahbaz Rizvi commented that the given time was for the petitioner to be present in court, and it is shameful for both the lawyer and the court that she was late. The court approved her protective bail after her appearance.
