SIMFEROPOL (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 09th March, 2023) The Kherson region is planning to gather a record harvest of crops this year, Vladimir Saldo, the acting governor of the Kherson region, said on Wednesday.
"I am sure that our farmers will gather a record harvest this year, and we will be present in full with our quality products, which are awaited across Russia," Saldo said in a televised appearance on the Tavria broadcaster.
The governor added that spring field works have already begun in the region.
"Most winter crops are in good condition. They are being fertilized now," Saldo said.
He said that the region is famous not only for grains and oilseeds but for watermelons and tomatoes as well.
