LONDON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd September, 2021) UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas discussed the situation around Iran, Afghanistan and Libya, Truss said.
"The UK and Germany are strong partners. I had the pleasure of meeting @HeikoMass at #UNGA76 and we spoke about: strengthening economic and security ties globally; shared priorities including Iran, Afghanistan & Libya," Truss wrote on Twitter.
She said they also discussed the UK handing over the G7 Presidency to Germany.
Truss departed for the United States on September 20 to attend the UN General Assembly session and on a visit. The UK foreign secretary is holding a number of meetings on the sidelines of the assembly.
