LHC CJ administers oath to newly appointed 13 additional judges

With the elevation of these judges, the number of Judges at LHC has reached 50, among them 37 are confirmed whereas 13 are Additional Judges. The sanctioned strength of judges at LHC is 60.

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News- May 7th, 2021) Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan administered oath to the newly appointed 13 Additional Judges.

Newly appointed additional judges include Mr. Justice Sohail Nasir, Mr. Justice Shakil Ahmad, Mr. Justice Safdar Salim Shahid, Mr. Justice Ahmad Nadeem Arshad, Mr. Justice Muhammad Tariq Nadim, Mr. Justice Muhammad Amjad Rafiq, Mr. Justice Abid Hussain Chathha, Mr. Justice Anwaar Hussain, Mr. Justice Ali Zia Bajwa, Mr. Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmad, Mr. Justice Muhammad Raza Qureshi, Mr. Justice Muhammad Shan Gul and Mr. Justice Mohammad Raheel Kamran Sheikh.

A simple but impressive ceremony was held in the Main Lawn of LHC today. LHC Registrar Malik Mushtaq Ahmad Ojla conducted the proceedings. Senior Puisne Judge Mr. Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, Mr. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Mrs. Justice Ayesha A. Malik and other judges as well as Federal, provincial law officers, president, office bearers of LHCBA, senior lawyers, officers of LHC and families and friends of newly appointed judges also graced the occasion. With the elevation of these judges the number of Judges at LHC has reached 50, among them 37 are confirmed whereas 13 are Additional Judges. Meanwhile, with the orders of Chief Justice, Registrar LHC has posted required staff in the Courts of the newly appointed additional judges.
