Riyadh, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 28 يوليو 2026ء) The palace is located in the southwestern part of the old town in Shaqra Governorate, about 200 kilometers from Riyadh, and served as a stop along the historic road linking Riyadh and the Hijaz.
The palace was built in 1327 AH by Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Subaie. It was rebuilt in 1354 AH by Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Subaie in a project that took four years.
The palace later underwent two restoration projects, the first in 1411 AH and the second in 1421 AH, under the supervision of the General Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, now the Ministry of Tourism.
The palace features stone columns made of flat cylindrical stones. Its roofs were constructed using athl (tamarisk) tree trunks, palm fronds, and palm leaves, then covered with layers of mud and plaster, following traditional building methods in Najd.
