Riyadh, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 26 يوليو 2026ء) This comes as part of SFA's efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative will run from July to December 2026 under the slogan "Don't Count Your Steps... Let Them Count." The initiative is available through the SFA app, where users can join, track their daily steps, monitor their progress, and participate in challenges and activities throughout the initiative.
On this occasion, SFA President Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal expressed his hope that the "10 billion Steps" initiative would help launch a broad national movement that strengthens the role of physical activity in everyday life, turning simple steps into a lasting impact on individual health and quality of life.
Prince Khaled said: "The 10 Billion Steps initiative represents an open invitation to every individual in the Kingdom to be part of a shared national goal. We believe that building a healthier, more vibrant society begins with simple steps taken every day. Through this initiative, we aim to make physical activity more accessible and transform daily movement into a sustainable habit that enhances quality of life and supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030."
SFA Managing Director Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini said that the initiative offers a new model for engaging with physical activity by transforming daily steps into a motivating, measurable experience through the federation's app.
She added: "The 10 Billion Steps initiative shows that every beginning can be simple, and that physical activity is already part of our daily lives more than we realize. Every step we take at work, at school, at home, or elsewhere can contribute to achieving a shared national goal and help build healthier, more sustainable habits. Our message to everyone is clear: ‘Your steps count.’"
The 10 Billion Steps initiative aims to shift the traditional view of physical activity — from being a practice that requires dedicated time, specific places, or special athletic abilities, to being a simple and accessible part of every individual's daily routine. The initiative aims to motivate individuals, communities, and organizations to participate in achieving a shared national goal that reflects the power of collective action and its impact.
The initiative relies on an integrated approach that includes digital engagement, partnerships, and encouraging individuals to download the app and activate their steps, ensuring that its message reaches different segments of society and reinforcing sustained participation over the coming months — from the launch phase, to engagement, to expansion, and finally to celebrating the achievement.
SFA invites all members of the community to download the SFA's app, register to join the 10 Billion Steps initiative, and take part in achieving the national goal, in line with the initiative’s message: "Don't Count Your Steps... Let Them Count."
