Saudi Arabia Records 216 Mbps Mobile Internet Speed, Ranks Among Top Global Performers

Riyadh, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 25 يوليو 2026ء) The report showed that average mobile data consumption reached 53 GB per person monthly, about three times the global average, while median 5G download speed reached 320 Mbps with a latency of 24 milliseconds.

Fixed internet median download speed rose to 151 Mbps, up from 120.4 Mbps, with upload speeds reaching 73 Mbps and latency of 8 milliseconds, according to Ookla data.

Total internet data traffic in the Kingdom reached 69 million terabytes, split 56% domestic and 44% international, with mobile and fixed networks each accounting for 50% of traffic. Riyadh Region led in data traffic at 30.6%, followed by Makkah Region at 20.5% and Eastern Region at 16.8%.

IPv6 protocol activation reached 67% among users, with approximately 200 Saudi Autonomous System Numbers (ASN) registered online.

This comes as Saudi Arabia ranked first among 159 economies in the International Telecommunication Union's 2026 ICT Development Index.
