Al-Badayea, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 23 يوليو 2026ء) The mosque is located in the northeastern part of Al-Badayea Governorate, Qassim Region, alongside the main road linking Al-Badayea and Unaizah, in an area considered one of the governorate's historic districts. It was built in 1353 AH (1934) and is regarded as one of the region's historic mosques. Some local sources indicate that the Al-Shibibiyah site itself dates back to a period earlier than the construction of the present mosque, as the area is considered one of the well-known historic sites in Al-Badayea.
The mosque is a clear example of the traditional Najdi architectural style prevalent in central Saudi Arabia. It is characterized by the simplicity and practicality of its design, a hallmark of traditional Najdi architecture. The building is largely free of elaborate decorations, except for simple engravings and ornamentation on the mosque's main door.
The mosque consists of a rectangular prayer hall built of mud, tamarisk wood, and palm fronds, a front portico supported by circular columns, and a conical minaret approximately two stories high.
The mosque forms part of the historical identity of Al-Badayea Governorate and reflects the lifestyle and construction methods of the region during the first half of the 14th century AH.
