Rafha, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 21 يوليو 2026ء) Antiquities Association member Abdulrahman Al-Tuwaijri told the Saudi Press Agency that Al-Hanateen Dunes lie alongside a historic trade route known as the western trade route, which runs along Al-Nafud Desert from Turbah to Al-Hayaniyah, then crosses Al-Huzul, Al-Majamir, and Al-Ruhaymi before reaching Kufa. He said the route had fewer water sources and was more arduous. However, its distance from the main routes made it safer and therefore a preferred option for small caravans and travelers.
The site combines natural features with historical heritage, offering scenic views and tourism experiences that attract visitors and enthusiasts of exploration and desert activities.
