Saudi Red Crescent Saves Indian Umrah Performer After Cardiac Arrest in Madinah

Madinah, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 18 يوليو 2026ء) Acting Director General of the SRCA Madinah Region branch Dr. Omar Al-Attas said the rapid arrival of emergency responders and their early intervention helped save the woman's life and revive her heartbeat. He noted that medical teams serving the central area around the Prophet's Mosque operate around the clock under operational plans designed to ensure rapid response and deliver emergency care to visitors.

Upon arrival, the teams confirmed that the woman had suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest. They immediately initiated the necessary emergency procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), until her heartbeat was restored and her condition was stabilized.

Al-Attas added that such cases underscore the importance of promptly reporting medical emergencies and the critical role of early emergency intervention in improving survival rates. He also praised the readiness and professionalism of the emergency personnel, particularly during periods of high visitor and worshipper density.

After her heartbeat was restored, the Umrah performer was transferred to Bab Jebreel Health Center to complete the necessary medical care.
