KSrelief Advances Humanitarian Localization Agenda at Wilton Park Dialogue

Riyadh, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 15 يوليو 2026ء) As a speaker in a session on localization, Omar highlighted KSrelief’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with local humanitarian organizations and build their capacities, enabling them to lead humanitarian response efforts. She emphasized the principle of “as local as possible, as international as necessary,” a key pillar of UN reforms and the Humanitarian Reset roadmap.

Held in cooperation with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the dialogue brought together representatives from up to 45 selected member states, alongside representatives of the United Nations and national and local actors, for informal discussions on ways to advance progress in localizing humanitarian work.

It aims to develop practical recommendations that contribute to building a more effective global humanitarian system, empower local actors, and strengthen the United Nations' role in coordination, protection, and technical support, thereby enriching international discussions.
