Al-Baha, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 11 يوليو 2026ء) One of the region's notable rural lodges showcases traditional architecture built with locally sourced stone and timber. It houses more than 450 heritage artifacts, including antique furniture, household items, and old paper Currency, providing visitors with a glimpse into the daily life once enjoyed by the people of Al-Baha.
Lodge owner Sharifa Al-Ghamdi told the Saudi Press Agency that she spent nine years restoring and refurbishing several historic homes to preserve their architectural identity and transform them into a tourism destination that highlights the region's heritage.
The rural lodges reflect Al-Baha's architectural and cultural legacy, demonstrating the ingenuity of using natural building materials suited to the region's terrain and climate. They also play an important role in promoting cultural tourism and preserving historic buildings.
Al-Baha Region is home to more than 194 archaeological and heritage sites, including 72 heritage villages. Together, they represent a valuable cultural and tourism asset that enhances the region's appeal, introduces younger generations to its rich history, and supports the Kingdom's national tourism development objectives.
