Al-Baha, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 10 يوليو 2026ء) Al-Hogail inaugurated municipal projects worth SAR464 million and laid the foundation stone for new municipal projects valued at SAR873.5 million. The projects include roads, sidewalks, street lighting, flood mitigation works, parks, and recreational facilities. They aim to advance infrastructure and improve services for residents and visitors. In the housing sector, the minister inaugurated housing projects worth SAR185.7 million, including the Telal Al-Baha (Al-Baha Hills) project and developmental housing projects in Baljurashi and Qilwa governorates. He also laid the foundation stone for new housing projects worth SAR150 million under the off-plan sales program to expand housing supply and support homeownership.
During the visit, the minister inaugurated 16 municipal investment projects with total revenues of SAR284 million. He also handed over 19 housing units to beneficiaries of developmental housing programs and honored several major donors who participated in the Jood Eskan campaign for 1447 AH.
Al-Hogail chaired a meeting with officials from Al-Baha Municipality to review performance indicators and project implementation progress. He also met with residents to hear their needs and discussed investment opportunities in the municipal and housing sectors with investors and business leaders.
The minister inspected the readiness of the municipality's Emergency and Crisis Center, which is now fully operational at its new headquarters. He stressed the importance of strengthening the emergency system and enhancing response capabilities to improve the municipal sector's preparedness for various situations.
The visit forms part of Al-Hogail's efforts to monitor the implementation of development projects and programs and assess progress in the municipal and housing sectors. It also aims to strengthen cooperation with relevant stakeholders, promote investment opportunities, improve quality of life, and support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
