Nouakchott, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 08 يوليو 2026ء) Director General of International Affairs Department at the SRCA Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Farhan handed over the presidency during the session opening in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
The SRCA said the 49th general assembly session, which it had the honor of hosting and chairing, strengthened dialogue and consultation among the national societies, advanced preparedness programs, and expanded cooperation and partnerships, thereby supporting joint Arab humanitarian work.
“As we conclude our presidency of the 49th session, I am pleased to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the member national societies and the organization’s General Secretariat for their genuine cooperation, spirit of solidarity, and shared sense of responsibility we witnessed,” Prince Abdullah bin Faisal said.
He added that these efforts greatly contributed to the success of the previous session and the achievement of various milestones.
Prince Abdullah also expressed his appreciation to the Mauritanian government and people, and to the Mauritanian Red Crescent for their hospitality and excellent preparation and organization of the event.
He voiced confidence that the 50th session’s presidency would mark another bright chapter in ARCO’s journey by strengthening unity among national societies and advancing joint Arab humanitarian action.
