New York, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 01 يوليو 2026ء) This came in a speech delivered by the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil while chairing the General Assembly meeting of the UNRWA Pledging Conference.
He noted that the Kingdom is one of the agency's largest supporters, reiterating its unwavering commitment to UNRWA and the Palestinian people. He warned that targeting UNRWA is part of attempts to liquidate the Palestinian refugee issue outside the framework of international law, and called for urgently bridging the agency's funding gap to ensure continuity of its services.
He also noted that the Kingdom has allocated financial assistance to implement developmental and humanitarian projects through UNRWA, enhancing its capacity to meet the growing needs of Palestinian refugees.
