Paris, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 30 يونيو 2026ء) Al-Touq congratulated Al-Fayez on his appointment as UNESCO assistant director-general for culture, wishing him success in achieving the aspirations of the organization and member states for the cultural sector.
The meeting reviewed cooperation between the Kingdom and UNESCO, discussing ways to strengthen joint efforts in the cultural field, including Saudi Cultural Development Fund projects supporting various heritage areas, opportunities to enhance collaboration in protecting and preserving cultural heritage, and the development of practices related to managing heritage sites.
The meeting also reviewed the Kingdom's preparations to host the World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (MONDIACULT) 2029, discussing coordination mechanisms with UNESCO for the conference.
