The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque explained that the staircase is crafted from the finest teakwood. It measures 5.65 meters in length, 4.80 meters in height, and 1.88 meters in width, and weighs approximately 6,500 kilograms, ensuring the highest levels of durability, stability, and resistance to weather conditions and enhancing its long-term sustainability.
The authority stated that the staircase is powered by 24 batteries and features a platform at the top aligned with the door of the Holy Kaaba, providing safe and direct access.
The staircase features an advanced engineering design that ensures the highest levels of stability and safety during use, with the ability to be easily moved when needed. It is adorned with intricate Islamic inscriptions and decorative motifs, combining architectural craftsmanship with practical functionality.
