San Diego, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 30 يونيو 2026ء) The event brought together industry leaders, researchers, investors, and policymakers to showcase the promising opportunities in Saudi Arabia's rapidly growing biotechnology sector and promote the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit (RGMBS 2026), which will be held in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Investment.
The RGMBS 2026 is scheduled to take place in Riyadh from September 14 to 16, 2026, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The biotechnology leaders meeting featured presentations on Saudi Arabia's biotechnology ecosystem, including KAIMRC’s roadmap for cell therapy and gene therapy, as well as the latest developments in biotechnology research and education. The presentations also highlighted the Kingdom's expanding scientific infrastructure, which supports innovation and the translation of research outcomes into practical and commercial applications.
CEO of the U.S.-Saudi Business Council Charles Hallab stated that Saudi Arabia and the United States have significant opportunities to collaborate in biotechnology, healthcare innovation, and investment in the life sciences.
“Through initiatives such as the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit (RGMBS), we are working to strengthen ties among innovators, institutions, and investors, and to support partnerships that advance scientific discovery, business growth, and improved health outcomes in both countries," Hallab said.
The meeting provided BIO International Convention participants with an opportunity to engage directly with Saudi stakeholders and learn about the Kingdom's rapidly expanding biotechnology ecosystem ahead of RGMBS 2026.
