Arar, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 28 يونيو 2026ء) Antares, the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius, is distinguished by its characteristic reddish hue. Nearby, Al-Niyat appeared alongside the moon, forming a celestial scene that attracted the attention of astronomy enthusiasts and skywatchers.
Astronomy and Space Club member Adnan Khalifa explained that the conjunction is a natural astronomical phenomenon resulting from the moon's apparent movement in its orbit around Earth. He emphasized that the event has no effect on Earth. He added that such phenomena promote public interest in astronomy by providing opportunities to observe celestial objects and identify their positions in the night sky.
He added that the clear skies over Northern Borders Region provided ideal viewing conditions. They enabled astronomy enthusiasts and astrophotographers to observe and capture the celestial event.
