Madinah Henna: A Deep-Rooted Agricultural Heritage Driving Local Economic Growth

Madinah, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 26 يونيو 2026ء) The meticulous production process involves harvesting the leaves two to three times a year, followed by drying them in shaded areas to preserve their vibrant green color. The leaves are then purified and ground into a fine powder used for cosmetic and therapeutic purposes, as well as packaged in various sizes as traditional gifts from Madinah.

The local branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture supports farmers by providing guidance programs, developing irrigation systems, and facilitating participation in tourism and agricultural festivals. This support helps advance henna-based processing industries in the cosmetics sector and promotes local content, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.
