Jizan, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 25 يونيو 2026ء) The initiative forms part of Jazan Culture House’s efforts to develop young people's creative skills and introduce them to traditional crafts as an element of cultural heritage that has shaped community life across generations.
The workshop offered a hands-on experience that introduced participants to the fundamentals of clay shaping and pottery making, beginning with an overview of the materials and tools used and culminating in the creation of practical models.
The activities enabled participants to engage directly in the pottery-making process, helping to develop their artistic sensibilities and refine their manual skills.
The workshop also provided a platform for sharing knowledge and expertise related to one of the region’s traditional crafts by introducing participants to the stages of pottery-making and its evolution over time, as well as the cultural and historical values it embodies, reflecting the relationship between people and their environment and local resources, and its role in preserving an aspect of the community’s cultural identity.
The workshop was part of a series of specialized programs implemented by Jazan Culture House to empower emerging talents, strengthen the presence of traditional crafts within the cultural landscape, and create knowledge bridges between generations that support the sustainability of handicrafts and the transfer of expertise to new practitioners.
