Chief Product Officer at the Esports Foundation Faisal bin Homran stated that the relocation of the Esports World Cup 2026 to Paris reflects Saudi Arabia's position as a leader in developing the global gaming and esports sector.
He also affirmed that this step marks the continuation of a tournament that originated in Riyadh, aimed at establishing it as a global event rotating among major capitals, while Riyadh remains its home and future destination.
Moreover, he noted that Saudi fans will remain a key factor in the tournament’s success wherever it is held, highlighting that the Saudi community's passion for esports has contributed to the championship’s success since its inception.
He indicated that preparations for the tournament are progressing according to the planned schedules, in cooperation with local and international partners, with the aim of delivering an exceptional edition that matches the tournament’s standing and meets the expectations of players, clubs, and fans.
