Dammam, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 23 يونيو 2026ء) During the meeting, organized by Asharqia Chamber under the Tasheel program, which was launched to stimulate investment activity in the region and establish direct communication channels between major companies and the local private sector, including suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers, Senior Vice President of Procurement and Supply Chain Management at Saudi Aramco Sulaiman Al-Rubaian highlighted the importance of supply chains as a key driver of economic growth. He also underscored the company's efforts to advance localization, strengthen local content, and empower local suppliers.
Al-Rubaian explained that the meeting forms part of Aramco's ongoing efforts through the iktva program to strengthen local content and build strategic partnerships with the private sector. These efforts support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhance the participation of local suppliers in implementing the company's strategic projects.
The meeting featured a presentation of more than 210 investment opportunities available to suppliers, along with an overview of supplier registration and qualification procedures. It also included two workshops covering the requirements of the iktva program, the process of obtaining a local-content certificate, and the requirements and procedures for securing third-party cybersecurity compliance certification.
