Saudi Athletes Claim Two Silver Medals at Special Olympics Event in Tunisia

Tunis, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 23 يونيو 2026ء) Saudi Arabia participated in three sports: unified beach volleyball, unified triathlon, and open-water swimming, as part of the opening stage of the 10th Special Olympics MENA Regional Beach Games.

The unified beach volleyball team claimed Saudi Arabia’s first silver medal, advancing to the final before settling for second place after losing to the UAE.

In the triathlon competition, Saudi athletes added a second silver medal to the Kingdom’s tally. Meanwhile, in open-water swimming, Mohammed Al-Olayan finished fourth in one of the event’s most demanding competitions.

These results reflect Saudi Special Olympics' ongoing efforts to develop its athletes and empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to represent the Kingdom and showcase their abilities in regional and international forums.
