Paris, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 19 يونيو 2026ء) The pavilion successfully opened new avenues for high-value investment by showcasing promising opportunities and an enabling regulatory environment, enhancing the attractiveness of Saudi Arabia's military industries sector and drawing strong interest from leading international companies seeking strategic partnerships that support localization objectives.
Organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), with the participation of 10 government and private entities, the Saudi Pavilion was held in Paris from June 15 to 19, 2026.
The pavilion's participation reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to welcoming investors from around the world and highlighted the Kingdom's efforts to localize more than 50% of military spending by 2030.
During the pavilion's participation at Eurosatory 2026, Governor of GAMI Eng. Ahmad Al-Ohali met with Delegate General for Armaments at the French Directorate General of Armament (DGA) Patrick Pailloux, along with a number of productive meetings with representatives of leading global defense companies.
These meetings explored ways to enhance cooperation in the military industries sector, exchange expertise, and develop a sustainable military industries sector that increases military equipment readiness, enhances self-sufficiency, and contributes effectively to the national economy.
Saudi Arabia's participation at the exhibition saw the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding, as part of GAMI's efforts to advance the Kingdom's military industries sector, strengthen supply chains, and enable strategic partnerships. These included a MoU between the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD) and Agence Innovation Défense to cooperate on innovation in defense and military technologies and systems. The World Defense Show (WDS) also signed two agreements: the first with Global Affairs Canada to establish the first Canadian national pavilion at World Defense Show 2028, and the second with Developed East Manufacturing Holding Co. (DEMCO) to become a Premium Partner of the fourth edition of the show.
GDC middle East signed a MoU with DCI Group to facilitate the transfer of specialized expertise and know-how, in addition to developing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. Emaan Industrial also signed a MoU with KT-Shelter to transfer technology and localize the manufacturing of temporary protective shelter solutions for air and land systems. Midana signed MoU with several companies, including B2SPACE to cooperate on testing and qualification of space and satellite technologies, EMITECH to cooperate on qualification, test engineering, and advanced technologies for the defense and space sectors, and DSA to cooperate on capability building, training, and knowledge transfer related to NATO standards and specifications in the military industries sector.
On the sidelines of the pavilion's participation in the exhibition, GAMI organized a workshop titled "Developing Supply Chains in the Military Industries Sector," held with the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources (MIM), Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), and the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS).
The workshop addressed the role of the Industrial Participation Program in activating more than 60 agreements with leading global companies operating in the military industries sector, and the contribution of integrated efforts with GAMI's public and private sector partners in providing an attractive investment environment for local and international investors, supporting the development of a diversified and prosperous economy in the sector. The workshop also reviewed the National Industrial Strategy's role in transforming the Kingdom into a leading industrial power, the contribution of SAMI's RUKN Program in developing local capabilities capable of growth, enablement, and sustainability, and the role of NCMS in localizing defense and security technologies and industries.
Throughout the exhibition, the Saudi Pavilion showcased integrated efforts between government entities, highlighted national industrial and service capabilities, and the innovative technologies offered by participating Saudi companies. The pavilion also highlighted the Kingdom's attractive investment environment by showcasing the enablers that facilitate the investor journey. Visitors praised the advanced level reached by Saudi Arabia's military industries sector and the Kingdom's ambitions in this vital sector.
GAMI highlighted the sector's accelerating growth during its participation, with its contribution to GDP rising from SAR2.2 billion in 2021 to SAR6.6 billion in 2024, while the localization rate of military spending reached nearly 25% in 2024, toward the goal of localizing more than 50% of military spending by 2030.
GAMI affirmed that the Saudi Pavilion's participation at the exhibition strengthened the Kingdom's position as a trusted international partner, expanded its network of relationships with leading global companies, and enabled national companies to showcase their capabilities and explore growth and expansion opportunities in global markets.
