Tashkent, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 19 يونيو 2026ء) Alkhattaf and the delegation participated in the forum, attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, alongside government leaders, decision-makers, representatives of international financial institutions, and investors from more than 100 countries, as part of Uzbekistan's efforts to strengthen its position as a regional center for investment and trade in Central Asia.
The forum focused on priority sectors, including renewable energy, mining and strategic minerals, infrastructure and logistics, the digital economy and artificial intelligence, and public-private partnership projects, within a package of investment projects aimed at attracting international investors.
On the sidelines of the visit, Alkhattaf participated in the Saudi-Uzbek business Council meeting, with government officials and company leaders from both countries, discussing ways to enhance trade and investment cooperation and expand Saudi investments in Uzbekistan.
He also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov, reviewing economic and investment cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, as well as Central Bank Governor of Uzbekistan Timur Ishmetov, discussing cooperation in financial technology, digital infrastructure, and data centers.
