Vienna, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 18 يونيو 2026ء) During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields to serve mutual interests and enhance the partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Austria.
The Foreign Minister renewed his congratulations to the Republic of Austria on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the 2027–2028 term. He expressed the Kingdom's hope that Austria would contribute to supporting international efforts aimed at maintaining international peace and security, as well as strengthening the principles of international law and multilateral action.
The two sides also discussed the latest regional and international developments and welcomed the agreement reached between Iran and the United States, stressing the importance of building on this step to support regional stability and promote political and diplomatic solutions to various crises and disputes.
Furthermore, they explored opportunities to expand economic and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries, discussing ways to strengthen collaboration in vital sectors including energy, renewable energy, and logistics services. Both sides emphasized the importance of encouraging mutual investments, particularly in light of the promising opportunities offered by Saudi Vision 2030, with a special focus on alternative energy and advanced technology sectors.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Austria Abdullah bin Khalid Tawlah and Advisor to the Foreign Minister Mohammed Alyahya.
