In the latest tournament-related initiative, FIFA announced the launch of the "FIFA Power Rankings powered by Aramco" system, providing a new mechanism for evaluating player performance during the World Cup based on advanced data and analytics. The system draws on FIFA's database and analytical algorithms to provide objective ratings for outfield players across attacking, creativity, and defensive metrics, while goalkeepers are evaluated using specialized indicators, with rankings updated after each match throughout the tournament.
On the fan engagement front, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Local Organizing Committee recently announced that "Aramco Arena" will be hosted as part of the FIFA Fan Festival™ in Houston, serving as a hub for sports and interactive activities throughout the tournament, including play and training areas, match viewing zones, and various fan experiences.
Saudi Aramco is also set to present the Best Young Player award at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, one of the official awards recognized by FIFA, reaffirming its role in supporting emerging talent and encouraging new generations of players.
Saudi Aramco's participation in the tournament reflects the growing presence of Saudi institutions in major global sporting events, coinciding with the Kingdom's preparations to host the FIFA World Cup 2034™ and the rapid development of the sports sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030 targets.
