Madinah, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 14 يونيو 2026ء) Several date varieties are being supplied to the central date market in Madinah and the date auction yard, while buyers await the ripening of Rothana rutab and the start of its harvest season in significant yields by the end of June. Rothana is considered the most famous rutab variety and the most sought-after among Madinah residents and visitors.
Rothana is the leading summer rutab variety and is distinguished by its medium size, soft texture, and moderate sweetness. It tops rutab sales at the end of the season, which extends until the end of August each year.
Farmers are closely monitoring the full ripening of Rothana rutab by the end of June to ensure sufficient supply and suitable quality. Harvesting and sales operations will then begin, either directly from farms or through distribution in appropriately sized boxes for export and individual consumers, as the variety continues to attract strong demand from buyers within and outside the region.
