Riyadh, May (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 06 مايو 2026ء) Saudi Reef Spokesperson Majed Al-Buraikan stated that the fish auction aims to achieve operational sustainability by reducing raw material waste and improving the marketing lifespan of products, positively impacting the income of fishermen in the city. The auction has been designed to serve as a link between fishermen and sellers, meeting the highest standards, featuring a large exhibition hall, an ice production area, and an advanced administrative section.
He noted that the auction targets attracting 150 boats monthly, with an average daily production of 40 kilograms per boat, with capacity designed to accommodate any future increase in production, and with a focus on improving packaging operations to enhance the competitiveness of Rayyis fish in local and international markets.
Al-Buraikan added that the program established an advanced technical maintenance center serving all fishermen in the region, aimed at minimizing boat downtime using modern diagnostic technologies and genuine spare parts. The center has a capacity of 20 to 25 boats per month, ensuring fast and reliable periodic maintenance.
The project also aims to localize and develop the skills of national technical personnel to deliver after-maintenance services with high professionalism.
