Riyadh, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 28 سبتمبر 2025ء) The project aims to establish a comprehensive knowledge reference documenting the history of the Two Holy Mosques and the rituals of Hajj and Umrah across the ages, while recording major milestones in their service, in line with the national commitment to enhancing Islamic content and preserving the historical memory of the Muslim nation.
The project enjoys the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Initially launched as a scholarly encyclopedia titled “Encyclopedia of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques,” it later expanded into a pioneering national initiative known as the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques Project, supervised by Darah in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah through the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The meeting reviewed its agenda, which included the announcement of the Historical Events in the Prophetic Biography: Perspectives on Investigation and Documentation Forum, to be held in Madinah in conjunction with the Umrah Forum. It aims to discuss plans to establish a permanent museum dedicated to the history of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques.
Furthermore, the committee reviewed updates on the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques Forum, preparations for the related exhibition, overall project progress, and other relevant topics.
