Beijing, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 28 سبتمبر 2025ء) The visit included high-level government meetings with key Chinese officials, including the minister of natural resources, the minister of industry and information technology, and the vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on joint initiatives in industrial development, mining sector growth, and technological innovation.
The minister also held meetings with executives from leading Chinese firms such as BOE Technology, Kyland Technology, Tsinghua Unigroup, Shanghai Wedge Investment, Shenzen Capchem Tech, Virtual Mind Holding, Kinta, Transsion Holdings, Tongli, and Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia. These discussions advanced potential joint investments in key sectors, including semiconductors, display technologies, intelligent industrial control systems, and advanced manufacturing.
The minister’s agenda in China featured several key engagements, including a keynote speech at the Saudi-Chinese business Forum. He also chaired a specialized session with more than 20 Chinese companies to explore investment opportunities within Saudi Arabia’s mining sector. Further highlights of the visit included his participation in the National Day celebration organized by the Kingdom’s embassy in Beijing and a meeting with Saudi students studying abroad.
He also undertook site tours of leading industrial facilities, including ZGC Group and its subsidiaries, FlightIn, Uisee, and China Power Energy Storage, as well as Minth Company’s operations. These visits offered firsthand exposure to state-of-the-art industrial technologies and advanced manufacturing processes.
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding (MoUs), including agreements between the National Industrial Development Center and Tsinghua Unigroup for semiconductor industry localization, with BOE Technology for display manufacturing, and with Kyland Technology for intelligent industrial control technologies. Additionally, three MoUs were signed with AVCO International, Lanshi Superalloy, and BMGK to localize aerospace industries, and a tripartite MoU with Aljazeera Falcon Company and Kinte Company for air conditioning compressor manufacturing.
During his participation in the Saudi-Chinese Business Forum, the minister also witnessed the signing of 42 MoUs between Saudi and Chinese companies, with a total value exceeding $1.7 billion, covering advanced industries, smart vehicles, energy solutions, and mineral resources.
Moreover, the minister visited the Saudi pavilion at the China International Industrial Fair “Hannover Messe” in Shanghai, touring participating international pavilions and highlighting Saudi Arabia’s industrial capabilities.
The minister’s official visit to China reinforces the ministry’s commitment to building global partnerships, attracting quality investments, and diversifying the Saudi economy in alignment with Vision 2030, with the outcomes expected to drive sustainable economic growth and enhance technological transfer between the two nations.
