Washington, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 26 سبتمبر 2025ء) Ambassador Alwasil said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly currently being held in New York, that this responsibility represents the international community's confidence in the Kingdom's standing and political leadership. It also highlights its ability to build bridges of dialogue between nations and work to promote international stability and peace through UN mechanisms based on consensus and mutual respect.
He noted that the Kingdom places the Palestinian issue at the core of its political and diplomatic priorities, constantly working to mobilize international support for the Palestinian people's struggle to achieve their legitimate rights. He reaffirmed the Kingdom's continuous support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The permanent representative highlighted the Kingdom's co-chairmanship with France of the international conference on the Two-State Solution. He noted that the effort helped revive international political momentum, incentivizing all parties to assume their responsibilities toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region, while also actively encouraging countries worldwide to recognize the State of Palestine.
