Riyadh, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 25 سبتمبر 2025ء) The campaigns focused on monitoring individuals engaged in preparatory activities to transport passengers using their private vehicles without obtaining the required licenses, as well as those practicing unlicensed passenger transport, commonly known as “hailing”. Such violators are dealt with in accordance with the procedures and penalties stipulated in the new Land Transport Law, which imposes fines of up to SAR20,000 and vehicle impoundment for 60 days, extending to the sale of the vehicle at public auction and the deportation of non-Saudi violators in cases of repeated offenses.
The authority confirmed that inspection teams are operating under a continuous plan, 24/7, and in coordination with relevant entities, to raise compliance levels and enhance competitiveness among licensed service providers. This contributes to delivering safer and more reliable transport services and achieving the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
The TGA urged all individuals to deal only with licensed operators to safeguard their rights and ensure their safety while traveling.
