The program began on September 19 with the “Green Spirit Run” in Historic Jeddah, followed by cycling races along the Jeddah Corniche.

The Kingdom continues to solidify its global standing as a leading sports destination by hosting major international tournaments and events across various disciplines, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which positioned sports as a pillar of development and empowerment and a cornerstone in strengthening the Kingdom’s presence on the international stage.

In recent years, the Kingdom has hosted major global tournaments, including five editions of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit and the Dakar Rally — one of the world’s toughest and most renowned rally races — which has been held entirely in Saudi Arabia since 2020.

It also staged the Spanish and Italian Super Cups; key finals in Asian football, combat sports, and mixed martial arts events; and the World Heavyweight Boxing Championship, marking the first heavyweight title fight of its kind since 1999. Alongside major tournaments in tennis, golf, and boxing, these events have placed the Kingdom at the center of attention for athletes and fans worldwide.

This global sporting presence coincides with the Kingdom’s 95th National Day celebrations, affirming that sports have become both a reflection of national progress and a symbol of determination and identity.

Just as Saudi Arabia raises its flag in the fields of development and advancement, it also raises it in the arenas of athletic competition, offering the world a complete image of a nation shaping the present with confidence and embracing the future with boundless ambition and leadership.
