Sochi, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 11 سبتمبر 2025ء) Dr. Al-Rassi delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the Gulf Cooperation Council views its relations with the Russian Federation as an important bridge for constructive cooperation in various fields, noting that the GCC attaches particular importance to strengthening these relations on the basis of mutual respect and common interests.
He stated that what is happening in Gaza is horrific and constitutes genocide and will be a stain on the international community's failure to defend it and stop the barbaric Israeli war machine. He praised Russia's position in support of the two-state solution conference and called on all countries to join this declaration and initiative to recognize the Palestinian state during the General Assembly.
Dr. Al-Rassi reiterated the Kingdom's call for adherence to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and the need to respect the sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of states. He expressed the Kingdom's condemnation in the strongest terms of the brutal Israeli aggression and blatant violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar. He affirmed the Kingdom's full solidarity with and support for the sisterly State of Qatar, and pledged to deploy all its capabilities to support the State of Qatar in all measures it takes. He also noted the Kingdom's warning of the dire consequences of the Israeli occupation's persistence in its criminal aggression and its blatant violation of the principles of international law and all international norms.
He affirmed that the Kingdom is keen to support everything that contributes to achieving security, stability, and prosperity for Syria and its people, expressing the Kingdom's satisfaction with the positive steps taken to ensure the safety of the brotherly Syrian people, stem the bloodshed, and preserve the institutions and capabilities of the Syrian state.
He also stated that the Kingdom's positions remain firm regarding its continued efforts to de-escalate tensions and achieve peace in Yemen. He emphasized the importance of supporting and intensifying political and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions, thus achieving peace, security, stability, and development for the region and its peoples.
In concluding his remarks, he emphasized that the Gulf states look forward to continuing rapprochement, supporting peace and security in the region, and working towards development, out of the shared belief that sincere dialogue, mutual respect, and joint action are the only path to building a more secure and prosperous future for all.
The meeting was attended by Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anas Al-Wassidi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Kingdom's Embassy in Moscow Majid Al-Ghufaili, and Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council Department Faisal bin Saeed.
