As its presence began to fade in the 1980s, the Madinah Arts Troupe was established in 1402 AH to preserve and promote this heritage.
Since then, Al-Dara has evolved from a local wedding tradition into a celebrated feature at major national events such as Saudi National Day and Founding Day. Increased media coverage has played a key role in boosting its visibility, while cultural initiatives continue to introduce this art form to new generations.
