Riyadh, August (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 25 أغسطس 2025ء) The conclusion of the NGSC coincided with the closing of the annual multi-game esports tournament Esports World Cup, held in Riyadh.
The NGSC drew broad participation from international sports leaders, pioneers of the gaming and esports industries, and prominent cultural and media figures. They all gathered from around the world to share insights and initiatives shaping the emerging global landscape of sport and entertainment and explore the future of these dynamic sectors.
The hosting of the conference in the capital reflects Saudi Arabia's growing stature as a global hub for gaming and esports, as well as its key role in bridging this industry with the sports and entertainment sector, thus expanding investment opportunities and bolstering economic and social development.
Day two of the conference featured a series of engaging panel sessions and fireside chats, covering a broad range of topics, including the esports and global entertainment landscape, and the shaping of the future of interactive communities.
Participants also chatted on the future of football, presented in partnership with AWS, exploring the role of AI in expanding the global game. A panel session, titled “Winning as a Habit,” explored lessons from esports and entrepreneurship, while the “Rules Rewritten” session focused on collaboration between traditional sports and esports.
Another panel session on “Content for the Next Generation” discussed revolutionizing platforms, as well as competition formats and fan engagement, while the “Power Moves” session focused on the future of esports investments.
Finally, a closing fireside on “Blurring the Lines Between Games and Cinema” highlighted the convergence of cinematic creativity and gaming innovation.
