Jeddah, August (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 07 أغسطس 2025ء) The meeting builds on agreements reached during the session of international sector leaders held on the sidelines of the Future Minerals Forum 2025 and comes as part of efforts to strengthen global cooperation in the geology and mining sectors.
During the meeting, three specialized international coordination groups were launched to provide technical guidance and lead strategic initiatives. These are: the Geological Capacity Development Group, led by the Council for Geoscience of South Africa with the participation of SGS; the Geological Data Access Group, led by the Geological Survey of India with the participation of SGS; and the Geology Center of Excellence Establishment Group, led by the French Geological Survey, also with the participation of SGS.
These groups aim to create a unified roadmap for the future of geosciences by advancing each strategic initiative, achieving key objectives, developing and implementing effective frameworks, engaging global stakeholders, enhancing international cooperation, and producing proposals and outcomes that support sustainable development.
The Kingdom’s organization of the meeting affirms its leadership in uniting global geoscience leaders, reinforcing its pioneering role in advancing the field, and opening new horizons for investment and knowledge worldwide.
