Madinah, August (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 05 أغسطس 2025ء) In his closing remarks, CEO of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission Dr. Abdullatif Alwasel extended his gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership for its continued support of the national cultural movement. He emphasized that the fair reflects the Kingdom’s renewed cultural vision and marks a significant milestone in advancing the publishing industry and promoting knowledge awareness across society.
Dr. Alwasel noted that this year’s edition witnessed an unprecedented expansion in participation and a rich variety of cultural events tailored to different age groups and intellectual interests, making it a comprehensive cultural experience. He added that the fair created broad opportunities for local publishers and authors, improved book accessibility, and strengthened Saudi content. Notable initiatives included the launch of a discounted book zone and upgrades to the fair’s technical infrastructure, which enhanced visitor engagement and overall experience.
The current edition attracted large numbers of visitors from diverse age groups and backgrounds, who actively engaged with the cultural program presented by a distinguished lineup of writers and intellectuals. The sessions included panels and workshops addressing key topics in the literary world and supporting the development of visitors’ knowledge and skills.
The fair also saw increased participation from both local and international publishers. The book signing platform hosted the launch of new titles by several Saudi authors, while various government entities and cultural organizations showcased their latest initiatives and contributions to the cultural sector.
