Riyadh, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 22 يونيو 2025ء) As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering persons with disabilities, the APD uses this initiative to provide tangible incentives and encourage companies to develop targeted programs that promote the integration and social participation of individuals with disabilities. Purple Saturday enables participating stores to offer exclusive discounts and promotions to individuals with disabilities.
Over the years, the initiative has grown significantly, with more than 3,500 retail locations across the Kingdom participating, along with involvement from other Gulf countries, highlighting its expanding reach and impact.
This year, the APD will also introduce the Purple Saturday Award to recognize the best offers, companies, and initiatives that make meaningful contributions to empowering persons with disabilities. The award aims to encourage excellence, boost engagement, and inspire supportive community initiatives.
The APD works to enhance the quality of services provided to people with disabilities and to raise societal awareness through collaboration across various sectors. Its ultimate goal is to foster an inclusive society defined by empowerment and equal opportunities for all.
