Workers have helped to create nation of tolerance, happiness: Nasser Al Hamli

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 01st May, 2019) Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, congratulated workers in the UAE on the occasion of the annual International Workers’ Day on 1st May.

He also thanked them for helping to create a prosperous nation of tolerance and happiness, in light of the policies of the country’s leadership, which has made it a model of coexistence between all members of a diverse community while valuing the efforts of all workers to improve the UAE’s competitiveness, enabling it to take pride of place in many international indexes related to the labour market.

He made this statement during a ceremony organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which was held today in Dubai, with the attendance of senior officials, entrepreneurs and representatives of the ministry’s partner companies.

In his speech during the ceremony, Al Hamli said, "While celebrating International Workers’ Day with the world, we are overwhelmed with happiness and pride at the announcement of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, declaring that the UAE, for the eighth consecutive year, is the best country for Arab youth to live and work, according to an opinion poll covering 15 Arab countries, again confirming that the UAE, due to the leadership’s policy, is achieving its vision and strategic development plans.

The Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Tolerance, the Ministry of State for Happiness, the National bonds Corporation, the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, "du," ZonesCorp, the Abu Dhabi sports Council, Aldar Properties, Dubai Airport, the Abu Dhabi cricket Club, the Dubai Municipality, the Expo 2020, and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank were honoured during the ceremony.

The ceremony also witnessed the official launch of the Labour Saving Initiative, 'Tharaa', organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the National Bonds Corporation.

The initiative is part of the ministry’s 'Workers Happiness Programme' in cooperation with the National Happiness and Positivity Programme.
