Du LaLiga HPC wins Dubai Sports Council Academies Championship U-18 division

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2019) du LaLiga High Performance Centre team were crowned the U-18 Champions in the Dubai sports Council Academies Championship on the weekend, after an undefeated winning streak with a total of 33 points separating them from the second-place team.

The other age categories each have one more week to play in the League which ends this coming weekend on 16th March, 2019. In last weekend’s U-16 games, Al Wasl Club tied with Go Pro academy 2-2; du LaLiga HPC continued their undefeated winning streak to maintain their leadership of the U-16 League table after beating Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, whereas SSS Iniesta beat FSC Foxes 4-0 and LaLiga Academy beat Talented FA 3-0.

In the U-14 category, Barca Academy Guardiola came out with a close win against City FC 3-2, while FSC Foxes had a close game against Go Pro Academy winning by a solitary goal, and Al Wasl Club winning 6-1 in their match.

Next week in the U-16 category Al Wasl Club and Shabab Al Ahli Club go head to head in their last match, while 2nd placed Dubai City FC Red will face off against 3rd placed SSS Iniesta and 1st Placed du LaLiga HPC will play FSC Foxes to secure their 1st place position.

In the U-14 Category 1st placed SSS Iniesta play Talented FA, where a win could leave them winning the league. Second Placed City FC will play against FSC Foxes while they hope SSS Iniesta takes a loss to overtake them in the last week. The coming week will witness some exciting football in the DSCAC.

The Dubai Sports Council Academies Championship is the largest tournament of its kind, expanded this year to include 100 teams and 2300 players from private and local club academies. The tournament is played at the finest facilities in Dubai including Al Wasl Club, Shabab Al Ahli Club and Dubai Sports City Stadiums and runs from 20th October, 2018 to 27th April, 2019.
